Newsletter

I think I would enjoy sending a detailed newsletter once a month. This would give me time to build up some quality content so that customers would really get something enjoyable in their inbox. Ideally they would look for the newsletter every month!

I would want to include ...

recipes for body products
an ingredient of the month
a special offer
an article that covers some topic about caring for your skin and body
gift ideas (using my products of course!)

All of these would appeal to a market that is interested in caring for their skin and body. People are so amazed by what I do and truly it isn't very difficult. What I am selling is an accumulation of very simple knowledge. I think that people could easily learn and connect to these things. I don't fear that educating people would diminish my business (they're all making their own lotion), but make them more enthusiastic. Including a gift idea would be a good way to target men who need to buy gifts for women!

  1. Your gift idea sounds like it could align well with some of the content in the lecture. Like, maybe on subscribers' birthdays you could send them a buy one get one free coupon, or even send them a package of free samples to make them feel special. I know I love getting birthday gifts from companies. I get them from a restaurant in San Clemente and from Sephora, and it makes me much more interested in purchasing from both companies. Could be useful... Great ideas here!

  2. I think you have a good handle on your business and a monthly newsletter sounds great for you. It's not too much like a weekly and like you said it lets you build up quality content. I like how you said you're selling knowledge rather than products. I think you should push that in your newsletter. I think it will be received better instead of pushing products for people to buy. You will build their trust in what you do by relaing your knowledge in the newsletter. Well done!

Also it is good to share recipes for body products and I like the gift ideas. Customers will really like that so much. I like that you want to let customers know what you do. I think it is good business mind.

  4. I'd like updates both for items for my wife and for any upcoming plans for products for men. :)

  5. I think focusing on a single product per newsletter will help keep it brief and you can focus on differentiating you from other marketers of products.

  6. I really like the idea of having a recipe included in the newsletters. That would definitely keep me interested since I love trying out and having new recipes.
