Which social media platforms seem geared towards personal use and which ones seem to work better for business.
I think that all social media has the potential to be useful for a business depending on the target demographic or type of business.
Facebook is a very social/personal media system but because is has such a strong following and is highly customize able, it makes a great marketing tool.
YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest seem more geared towards personal use, but have potential to be used for business marketing if the need fit.
Linked In and Yelp are very much geared toward business use.
I agree on most social media platforms mostly being meant for personal and social use, but at the same time having the potential to be useful in a business aspect. I have never heard of Linked In though.
ReplyDeleteEvery single one can be used for either personal or business. I think Yelp is solely for businesses, but it is very corrupt with quite a few recent articles exposing it's flaws.
ReplyDeleteAll of Social Media is about appealing visually and also to cleverly draw out your audience for maximum engagement.
I HATE yelp. Having waited tables for awhile there is nothing good about yelp. ANYONE can say almost ANYTHING about how horrible you are even if they're just a meanie looking for a free meal. Gar.
